When life gives you a 15 month old who thinks she can swim, you put water wings on her and you throw her in the pool. And if she seems slightly distressed, don't worry, because it's nothing compared the distress she feels when you're trying to, heaven forbid, hold her or keep her from drowning.

Amazing, Madi!! I'm definitely trying that with Micah next time. I've got bruises all over from him kicking me today in the pool because he was in the lifejacket and I was holding him. These second borns have some stinkin' independence!!
Stinkin' is right Mandy! She is wearing us out this week!
Feel your pain. Ellen wore me out at the beach. SHe attacked the waves head first and her favorite thing was the undertow (gracious) - she loved that feeling of the water rushing back over her legs. Have fun! Madi is amazing! Beth
Kate,
You need to turn your phone 90 degrees when you're taking video. Duh.
Dan -
FIRST of all, I already mocked myself on your behalf today. As we ate shrimp I said (in my best Dan voice), "Hey Kate, don't eat too many and make your face all pink and swollen like you did that one Thanksgiving." So see, that's done.
SECOND of all, good point on the video. Thanks. Ferreal.
Kate
Glad to hear I'm being accurately represented.
